Chilean Pet Food Export is projected to rise to approximately 2.7 million kilograms by 2028, up from around 2.2 million kilograms in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 3.5%. Since 1996, Chile's pet food supply has seen a significant increase, averaging 30.1% growth per year. In the global rankings for 2023, Chile held the 47th position in pet food exports, with Peru surpassing it with the same export volume of about 2.2 million kilograms. Leading the rankings were France, the United States, and Poland, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. On the import front, Chile's pet food imports are expected to decline to roughly 68.7 million kilograms by 2028, down from approximately 70.7 million kilograms in 2023. This represents a modest annual decrease of 0.5%. Since 1996, Chilean demand for pet food imports has trended downward, with an average annual decline of 3.2%.
