Mongolia's pet food import is projected to surge to approximately 440,000 kilograms by 2028, up from about 370,000 kilograms in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 2.7%. The country's demand for pet food has been on a steady incline, increasing by an average of 3.3% each year since 2003. On the export front, Mongolia saw a significant boost in 2018, with pet food exports reaching nearly 32,000 kilograms. This marks a dramatic rise of 165% compared to the previous year, when exports were recorded at around 12,000 kilograms in 2017.
