Morocco's pet food import is projected to climb to approximately 13.8 million kilograms by 2028, up from around 11.4 million kilograms in 2023. This indicates an average annual growth rate of 3%. Over the past two decades, since 1998, Moroccan demand for pet food has increased at an average rate of 3.6% per year. On the export front, Morocco saw a significant decline in pet food exports in 2018. The country exported nearly 23,600 kilograms of pet food, a sharp drop from the 104,140 kilograms exported in 2017. This represents a steep 77.3% decrease compared to the previous year.
