Saudi Arabia's pet food imports are projected to hit 12.2 million kilograms by 2028, up from 10.1 million kilograms in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 3%. Since 1996, the kingdom has seen a steady increase in pet food demand, growing at an annual rate of 4.1%. On the export front, Saudi pet food shipments surged to 27,000 kilograms in 2018, a dramatic rise from 8,950 kilograms in 2017, representing a year-on-year increase of 202%. However, since 2014, the country's pet food supply has experienced a significant decline, falling by an average of 35.9% annually.
