In 2021, Egypt came in at number 22, after Ecuador at 1.3 million kilograms. Germany, Belgium and China were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Egyptian gelatin imports are projected to reach 1.4 million kilograms by 2026, growing 0.2 per cent annually on average. Since 1999, Egyptian demand has risen 2.5 per cent each year. In 2021, the country was in 40th place, after Guatemala at 1.4 million kilograms. Germany, the United Kingdom and Belgium were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
