Kenyan Gelatin imports jumped 18.5% in 2018, reaching 335,160 kilograms from 282,870 kilograms in 2017. This marked the seventh consecutive year of growth, with imports increasing 7.4% since 1997. Meanwhile, exports rose an incredible 53,950%, from 115.4 kilograms in 2017 to 62,370 kilograms in 2018. This was a 150.2% increase since 1997. Kenya ranked 47th for exports during the year, behind Kyrgyzstan (62,370 kilograms), Germany, Belgium and China.
