French imports of gelatin are poised to reach nearly 14 million kilograms by 2026, up 1.1% per year on average since 1999. In 2021, the country was in seventh position, behind the Netherlands, which imported 13 million kilograms. Germany, the United Kingdom, and Belgium were ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. French gelatin exports are forecast to decline slightly to 23.2 million kilograms by 2026, down 0.3% per year since 1999. Last year, China was the leader with 23.7 million kilograms, followed by Germany, Belgium, and China in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
