Chinese fragrance exports are on the rise. In 2021, the country exported 44.7 million kilograms of fragrances, up from 37.6 million kilograms in the preceding year. This marks an average annual growth of 2.9%, which is higher than the 8% year-on-year increase since 1997. Poland overtook China in 2021, with 37.6 million kilograms of fragrances exported. The United Arab Emirates, Spain and the United States ranked second, third and fourth in the rankings.
