Belarusian electricity generation is projected to see a modest increase over the next five years. According to recent forecasts, the country is expected to produce approximately 40.6 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity by 2028, up from 39.9 TWh in 2023. This represents a year-on-year growth rate of 0.3%. Historically, Belarus has experienced a 0.5% annual increase in electricity supply since 1990. In the global rankings for 2023, Belarus secured the 59th position, narrowly trailing Oman, which also generated 39.9 TWh. Leading the global rankings in electricity generation are the United States, India, and Russia, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
