Chinese demand for household refrigerators is on the rise. According to recent figures, import is set to reach $24 billion by 2026, an increase of 1.5% year on year on average since 1997. China was the 49th largest importer in 2021, with Ireland overtaking the country at $22 billion. Germany, France and the United Kingdom followed in that order. Meanwhile, the country's export of household refrigerators is also set to reach $1.6 billion by 2026, a 3.2% year on year increase since 1997. Italy, Austria and Mexico were the top three importers after China.
