Emirati computer hardware exports are projected to decline significantly by 2028. The export value is expected to drop to approximately $201 million from around $291 million in 2023, marking an annual decrease of 5.9%. This downward trend has been consistent since 2012, with a yearly reduction of 5.2%. Meanwhile, the import of computer hardware into the UAE is also forecasted to decrease, albeit at a slower pace. By 2028, imports are anticipated to fall to about $599 million from $630 million in 2023, translating to an average annual decline of 0.8%. Since 2012, the demand for imported computer hardware has been gradually decreasing by 1% each year.
