In 2021, Azerbaijan was the highest importer of musical instruments at $1.5 million, followed by Germany, China and Japan. Exports of musical instruments from Burma reached $142,190 in 2018, up 7,360% from $1,910 in 2017. Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands were the biggest markets for Burmese instruments that year.
