Mauritanian imports of electrical equipment are on the rise. The value of such imports is expected to reach around $145 million by 2026. This is an increase of 1.4% on average each year since 2021, when imports stood at $134 million. Year-on-year growth since 2005 has been 9%. In 2021, Mauritania ranked 121st in the world for electrical equipment imports, behind Niger which imported $133.6 million. The United States, Germany and Singapore were the top three importers, in that order.
