This represents an average annual growth rate of 0.7%. Historically, Finnish freight supply has seen a modest year-on-year increase of 0.3% since 1975. In terms of revenue, Finnish freight is expected to generate about €6,700 million by 2028, compared to €6,340 million in 2023. This indicates a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 0.9%. However, since 2014, the market has experienced a slight annual decline of 0.2%. In 2023, Finland ranked 15th in freight revenue, with Austria narrowly ahead at €6,340 million. Leading the ranking were France, Poland, and Germany, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
