Thailand's plastic imports are set to hit $11 billion by 2026, according to a recent report. This is an increase of 2% a year on average, from $9.7 billion in 2021. If this trend continues, Thailand will rank 16th among the world's top importers. South Korea is currently in that position, with $9.7 billion. The US, Germany and France are in second, third and fourth place respectively. Exports of Thai plastics are also set for growth, with an estimated $17 billion expected by 2026. This is a 2.1% increase from the $15 billion seen in 2021. Since 1994, the country's exports have grown by 5.3% year on year. Thailand ranks 12th among the world's top exporters, with Singapore slightly ahead at $15 billion. The US, Germany and South Korea are in second, third and fourth place respectively.
