Colombian propane imports are set to reach just over 100 million kilograms by 2026. This is up 4.4% on average each year since 1996, when the demand was 16.7% higher than the year before. In 2021, Colombia was the 40th biggest importer, but this was overtaken by the Czech Republic with 77.6 million kilograms. The US, Japan and Mexico were the next biggest importers. In 2015, Colombia exported 21.4 million kilograms of propane, down from 34.1 million kilograms the year before. This made Colombia the 33rd biggest exporter, overtaken by Slovakia with 21.4 million kilograms. Canada, Algeria and Russia were the next biggest exporters.
