Saudi propane exports are expected to fall by 19.7% annually over the next five years. In 2021, Norway overtook the country, ranking first with 2.06 billion kilograms of propane. Canada, Algeria and Russia followed in second, third and fourth places. Since 1997, Saudi demand has risen by 36% each year. In 2018, Benin was the top producer, with just under 42 million kilograms of propane. The United States, Japan and Mexico came in second, third and fourth places respectively.
