The Netherlands, Belgium and the United States ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile, Canadian hydrogen imports are projected to fall 0.9% per year on average to $3.5 million by 2026. Demand has declined 2.7% since 1994, making the country the seventh-largest importer in 2021. Luxembourg was the biggest, followed by Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
