Guyanese compressor imports are projected to decline by 13.8% year-on-year in 2026, from 14,020 kilograms in 2021. This marks a decrease from 32,390 kilograms in 1997, when annual imports fell by 11.9%. Exports of compressors from Guyana are projected to drop by 5.8% year-on-year in 2026, from 34,130 kilograms in 2021. This would be a reduction from 48,320 kilograms in 2003, when annual exports fell by 28%. In 2021, Guyana was ranked 61st in the world for compressor exports, overtaken by Ecuador, Thailand, South Korea and Slovakia, which ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
