Japan imported 1.9 million metric tons of naphtha in December 2021, a drop of 60,000 tons from the same time the year before. However, this was still up 12.3% from January 2022, when the figure was 1.89 million metric tons. Since January 2014, Japanese demand for naphtha has grown slowly, increasing by just 0.2% year on year.
