Since 1995, Slovenia's electricity supply has seen a decline, decreasing by 2.7% each year. Despite this trend, the country was ranked 69th globally in electricity generation in 2023. Sri Lanka narrowly edged out Slovenia, also generating 14.2 terawatt-hours. The top spots in the global ranking were occupied by the United States, India, and Russia, respectively holding the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions.
