Coke imports to South Africa are set to rise by around 9 million kilograms by 2026. In 2021, the country imported 860 million kilograms of coke, down 2.8% year on year since 2005. Exports of coke from South Africa are projected to reach 132 million kilograms by 2026, up from 113.5 million kilograms in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 2.3% since 2005, when exports of the product jumped 21.6% year on year. In 2021, the Netherlands was ranked first in terms of coke exports with 113.5 million kilograms, followed by Poland, Colombia and Russia.
