Paraguay's iron ore imports decreased by 1% in 2021, to $1.2 million, compared to the previous year. This marks the lowest level since 1994, when the demand was 28.1% lower than it is now. Paraguay ranked 52nd, and Jordan came ahead with $1.2 million. Japan, South Korea and Germany were the top three importers respectively. Paraguay's iron ore exports dropped significantly in 2018, to $9 million - a decrease of 55.3% compared to 2017. The country was 66th in the global ranking, with Estonia coming in just ahead at $9 million. Brazil, Canada and South Africa were the top three exporters respectively.
