In 2023, Bosnia ranked 38th in iron ore imports, with Kazakhstan surpassing it with the same import value of $8.1 million. The leading importers in this category were Japan, South Korea, and Germany, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the export side, Bosnia's iron ore exports reached approximately $264,000 in 2019, up from about $247,000 in 2018, marking a 6.5% increase year-over-year. However, since 2009, the country's iron ore supply has seen a significant decline, dropping by over 53% annually.
