Azerbaijan's iron ore imports dropped dramatically in 2019, with imports falling 96.7% to just $20,860 compared to the previous year. This is a 66.3% decrease since 2009. The country ranked 85th in the world in 2019, behind Botswana at $20,860. Japan, South Korea and Germany were the top three importers in 2019, followed by Brazil, Canada and South Africa. Since 2007, Azerbaijan has seen a steep decline in iron ore supply, with a decrease of 86.3% year on year. In 2019, the country ranked 73rd, behind Austria at $120. Brazil, Canada and South Africa came in second, third and fourth respectively.
