Kenyan egg consumption dropped sharply this year, declining 21.1% from 19,000 metric tons in 2020 to 15,000 metric tons in 2021. This follows four years of steady growth, increasing 23.3% from 2017 to 2020. Madagascar came in ahead of Kenya, with 15,000 metric tons. The United States, India and Japan were the top three egg consumers, respectively.
