Egg consumption in Algeria is set to drop by 300,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, consumption was at 298,000 metric tons, having risen by 1.7% each year since 2017. Algeria was the 35th largest consumer of eggs that year, behind the Netherlands, which consumed 298,000 metric tons. The United States, India and Japan were the second, third and fourth largest consumers respectively.
