Egg consumption in Iran is projected to drop in the next five years. By 2026, Iranians are expected to consume 482.6 thousand metric tons, down 0.9% annually. Since 2017, the demand for eggs has declined by an average of 1.8% year on year. In 2021, Iran placed 25th in the ranking of countries with the highest egg consumption, Vietnam overtaking them at 509 thousand metric tons. The United States, India and Japan ranked in the top four spots, respectively.
