Livestock production in I-Kiribati is on the rise. This year, the number of Heads is projected to reach 11,000 – a 1.2% increase from 2021. Since 1966, the country's supply of livestock has grown at an average rate of 1.5% each year. In 2021, I-Kiribati came in at number 181 in the ranking of largest livestock producers. Equatorial Guinea was the top producer with 10,180 Heads. Brazil, India, and the United States followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
