The death rate from the Irish Influenza virus rose in 2015, with 32 fatalities reported, three more than the 29 reported in the previous year. Ireland placed 35th in the global ranking, behind Hungary, which reported 32 deaths. The top three countries, in order, were Japan, Germany and Canada.
