Norway is set to invest around €6.1 billion in environmental protection by 2026. This is a 0.8% increase from 2021, when Norwegian expenditure was €5.8 billion. Since 2017, demand for environmental protection has grown 2.1% year on year. In 2021, Norway ranked 14th in environmental protection expenditure, overtaken by the Czech Republic with €5.8 billion. France, the United Kingdom and Italy were the top three countries respectively.
