Austrian expenditure on environmental protection is set to reach €13.6 billion by 2026. In 2021, it was €12.8 billion, increasing at an average rate of 1% year on year since 2017. Austria was ranked 8th in 2021, with Belgium coming in ahead of them at €12.8 billion. France, the UK and Italy followed closely behind in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
