Demand for Ecuadorian Polyvinyl Acetate is set to reach 1.62 million kilograms by 2026, up 0.8% per year on average since 2021. That year, Ecuador ranked 53rd in the world for Polyvinyl Acetate imports, with 1.52 million kilograms. By comparison, Costa Rica was number one with the same amount. Italy, the United States, and France ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively. Exports of Ecuadorian Polyvinyl Acetate have dropped significantly since 2017, when they hit a record high of 13.6 million kilograms. In 2018, exports plummeted 60% to 5.4 million kilograms. Since 2011, however, exports have increased 1.6% annually on average. In 2018, Ecuador was 64th in the world for Polyvinyl Acetate exports, with Kuwait just ahead of them at 5.4 million kilograms. Switzerland, Germany, and Saudi Arabia were the second, third, and fourth largest exporters that year.
