Australia's export of polyvinyl acetate dropped by 24.6% in 2021, compared to 84,740 kilograms in 2020. This was the lowest level since 1993, when exports fell by 46.8% year on year. Japan overtook Australia to become the leading exporter of polyvinyl acetate, with 63,890 kilograms. Switzerland, Germany, and Saudi Arabia came in second, third and fourth respectively. Australia's import of polyvinyl acetate is expected to reach 9.1 million kilograms by 2026, up 1% from 8.5 million kilograms in 2021. This is a decrease of 1.5% since 1993. Austria took the lead in 2021, followed by Italy, the United States, and France.
