Korea's imports of manganese are set to reach 113 million kilograms in 2026, up 2.1% from 100 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1993, the country's demand for the mineral has increased 2.8% year-on-year. Japan, Russia and India ranked second, third and fourth for imports in 2021. Korean exports of manganese, meanwhile, are expected to reach 40 million kilograms in 2026, up 3.7% from 32 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1993, however, the country's supply has decreased 15% year-on-year. The Netherlands overtook Korea in 2021, ranking second with 32 million kilograms. The Netherlands, South Korea and Kazakhstan ranked second, third and fourth in exports.
