Guatemala's import and export of tungsten are set to grow in the coming years. Imports are projected to reach $55,310 by 2026, up 3.6% annually. Since 1998, the country has seen an 82.4% increase in demand. In 2021, Guatemala came in 79th place, overtaken by Nicaragua at $44,620. Germany, Japan and Austria ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Exports of tungsten from Guatemala surged to $90 in 2015, from $1,430 in 2014. The country was ranked 77th in 2015, with Macedonia coming in ahead at $90. Germany, the US and Japan were 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the rankings.
