By 2028, imports are expected to reach approximately 56,800 metric tons, up from about 49,300 metric tons in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 2.2%. However, since 2005, the country's demand for non-ferrous metals has decreased by 3.2% annually. In 2023, Cyprus was ranked 33rd in the world for non-ferrous metal imports, with Latvia again slightly ahead at the same volume. Spain, France, and Norway held the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
