Egypt imported 2.2 million kilograms of granite in 2021, a 9.6% decrease from 2020. Since 2000, the country’s demand for granite has dropped 15.7%. Azerbaijan overtook Egypt in 2021, coming in 36th place, while the United Kingdom, Russia and Denmark came in second, third and fourth place, respectively. Egypt is expected to export 253,630 kilograms of granite by 2026, a 6.5% decrease from 2021. On average, supply has risen 31.7% year on year since 1999.
