Kyrgyzstan's granite imports are forecast to climb 5% annually through 2026 to 6.45 million kilograms. Since 2001, the nation's demand has spiked 82%. Last year, Kyrgyzstan ranked 26th in the world, behind South Africa (47.3 million kilograms), the United Kingdom, Russia and Denmark. Kyrgyzstan's granite exports, however, tumbled 99.8% in 2018 to only 50 kilograms, down from 32,100 kilograms in 2017. Since 2000, the country's supply has declined 0.8% per year on average.
