Despite this steep decline, the country's demand for granite has grown 55.5% since 1999. Costa Rica came in at number 92 in the 2018 ranking of granite imports, behind Swaziland with 5,170 kilograms. The United Kingdom, Russia and Denmark landed in the top three spots, respectively.
