This marks a 3.3% year-on-year growth since 2021, when Maltese demand was 466,700 kilograms. Since 1999, the country has seen a 13.3% year-on-year increase. It ranked 49th in 2021, behind Ecuador, which imported 466,700 kilograms. The United Kingdom, Russia and Denmark followed, in that order.
