Finnish granite exports are set to drop by 5.8% in the next five years, from 160 million kilograms in 2021 to 115 million kilograms in 2026. Since 1993, the country has seen a steady decline in exports, with a 1% year-on-year decrease. At the same time, Finnish granite imports have skyrocketed by 40.6%, from 95 thousand kilograms in 2017 to 133 thousand kilograms in 2018. Over the past 25 years, imports have fallen by 42.2% year on year. In 2018, Finland ranked 63rd in the world for granite imports, being overtaken by El Salvador. The United Kingdom, Russia and Denmark ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
