Exports of Italian gypsum are predicted to reach around 232 million kilograms by 2026, a 3% year-on-year increase. This is an increase of 1.4% since 1999. In 2021, Italy was the 13th largest exporter of gypsum, behind Greece with 194.6 million kilograms. Thailand, Spain and Iran were the top three exporters in 2021. Italian gypsum imports are expected to drop by 10.6% year-on-year to around 1.04 million kilograms by 2026. This is a 2.4% rise since 1999. In 2021, Italy was the 10th largest importer of gypsum, behind Greece with 1.96 million kilograms. Thailand, Spain and Iran were the top three importers in 2021.
