Since 1996, the country's supply has grown 13.5 percent year-on-year. In 2021, it ranked fifth, behind Germany, which topped the list with 1.1 billion kilograms. The United States, Belgium and Germany were numbers two, three and four, respectively. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's silica sand imports are forecast to hit 4.8 million kilograms by 2026, down 6.6 percent year-on-year on average from 7.2 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1996, the country's demand has fallen by 4.6 percent year-on-year. In 2021, Saudi Arabia was ranked 61st, with New Zealand ahead at 7.2 million kilograms. Slovenia, Singapore and Belgium were numbers two, three and four, respectively.
