Cypriot demand for silica sand is set to reach 16.5 million kilograms by 2026. This is a 2.2% year-on-year growth from 2021, when the country imported 14.5 million kilograms - putting it at 54th in the world ranking. Latvia was in first place with the same amount. Singapore, Slovenia and Belgium took the next three spots. Since 1994, the year-on-year demand for silica sand in Cyprus has decreased by 0.5%.
