Global demand for wound dressings is set to reach $5.9 billion by 2026, up from $5.4 billion in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.8% since 2017. Belgium topped the ranking of global imports with $1.2 billion in 2021. Germany, the United States, and Japan followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively. Burkina Faso saw the biggest increase in imports, growing 99% year-on-year since 2017, while Greenland witnessed the sharpest decline, falling 48.9%. Supply of wound dressings is projected to reach $5.7 billion by 2026, up from $5.4 billion in 2021, representing an average growth rate of 1.5% since 2016. The United States was the main exporter with $1.4 billion in 2021. Belgium, Germany, and Austria rounded out the top four. Tanzania had the highest year-on-year growth rate at 194.1%, while Uganda experienced the largest decline at 79.3%.
