Since 2019, the supply of berries in Europe has seen a significant increase, growing at an average rate of 4.4% per year. In 2023, Poland led the continent in berry production, yielding nearly 376,000 metric tons. Following Poland in the rankings were Serbia, Spain, and Portugal, securing the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. Italy showed a substantial year-on-year increase of 35.5% in its berry production. In stark contrast, Romania experienced a dramatic 100% decrease in production since 2019.
