Revenue from civil engineering in Europe is projected to reach €344.8 billion by 2026, up from €321.7 billion in 2021. This reflects an average annual growth rate of 0.9% since 2016. The United Kingdom topped the European rankings in 2021, with €65.1 billion in revenue. Germany, France and Italy ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Bulgaria saw the highest growth of 19% year-on-year since 2016, while Macedonia experienced the sharpest decline of 4.9%. Production of civil engineering in Europe is expected to reach €342.2 billion by 2026, up from €322.2 billion in 2021. This indicates a yearly growth rate of 0.7% since 2016. The UK again ranked first in 2021, with €64.9 billion in production. Germany, France and Italy followed in second, third and fourth place. Bulgaria saw the greatest increase of 18.3% year-on-year since 2016, while Macedonia experienced the greatest drop of 5.6%.
