The European wood product market is projected to climb to approximately €122.7 billion by 2028, up from around €112.4 billion in 2023. This reflects an average annual growth rate of 1.1%. However, the market has not been without its challenges. Since 2019, the European wood product sector has seen a slight decline, shrinking by 0.1% year on year. In 2023, Germany cemented its position as the leading country in wood product sales, boasting figures of €21.1 billion. Following Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Poland secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. Notably, Estonia demonstrated a significant annual growth rate of 5.1% since 2019. In contrast, Spain experienced a substantial decline, with its market decreasing by 6.8% year on year over the same period.
