By 2023, imports stood at 100.64 million kilograms, reflecting a modest growth pattern in recent years.
Year-on-year variations revealed substantial changes: a 46.33% increase in 2016, followed by a -27.7% decline in 2017. More recently, between 2022 and 2023, the increase was 1.61%, with a CAGR of 5.28% over the same period. Expected growth from 2024 onwards suggests a stable yet gradual increase up to 108.66 million kilograms by 2028, with a forecasted 5-year CAGR of 1.27%.
Future trends to watch for include potential impacts of global economic shifts, changes in oil prices affecting raw material costs, as well as shifts towards sustainable materials which could influence demand for PVC imports.
